Incident Details

• A 62-year-old Venice man was driving a Mitsubishi Outlander south on Jacaranda Boulevard at approximately 10:30 p.m.
• The SUV veered left, entered the median and struck a tree.
• The driver died at the scene.
• Florida Highway Patrol continued investigating why the vehicle left the roadway.
