Bee Ridge Road near Belmont Boulevard - April 3, 2026

Incident Details

• A 63-year-old man was walking north across the eastbound lanes of Bee Ridge Road near Belmont Boulevard at approximately 9:10 p.m.
• Florida Highway Patrol reported that the pedestrian was outside a marked crosswalk.
• An eastbound SUV struck the pedestrian after he entered its path.
• The pedestrian sustained critical injuries, was transported to a hospital and later died.
• The SUV driver was not injured, and the crash remained under investigation.
